LEDs to brighten up streets by September

The civic administration of Pune has expedited its LED (light-emitting diode) street light installation drive across the city. The project is expected to be completed by September this year. So far, the civic administration has installed as many as 40,000 LEDs, while the remaining 30,000 will be installed over the next three months. PMC officials said that around 70,000 LEDs will be in place on almost all city roads by mid-September.
