Cree LED Named Winner of ETQ Innovation Excellence Awards 2025
ETQ, part of Hexagon, announced that Cree LED, a Penguin Solutions brand and a leading provider of application-optimized LED chips and components, was named winner of the ETQ Innovation Excellence Awards. Cree LED was selected for its innovative use of ETQ Reliance for quality-driven customer surveys, enabling instant access to customer satisfaction data; as well as a custom quoting solution that transforms traditional, manual quoting processes into a streamlined, data-driven system.
The Innovation Excellence Award, which was given during the company's customer conference in Las Vegas June 16-18, 2025, spotlights customer ingenuity in using the ETQ Reliance quality management system (QMS) in creative and innovative ways to address some of the most pressing challenges in quality management today.
Cree LED recognized that faster and more reliable customer surveys provide the valuable feedback necessary to enhance satisfaction and increased customer retention. By integrating core customer survey capabilities into ETQ Reliance to create its own survey module, Cree LED improved the document management and survey process to ensure higher operational efficiency and stronger client relationships.
The company also leveraged the capabilities of ETQ Reliance to build a custom quoting module that eliminates manual calculations and approvals by automating the quote process, reducing human error and speeding up response times. By integrating pricing adjustments, the module enables businesses to dynamically tailor quotes based on customer history, market trends, production quantities and inventory levels.
Instead of using separate, costly software for surveys, Cree LED leveraged its ETQ Reliance platform to create a custom module solution which stores data in the QMS and eases customer input. The module provides automated workflows, which allow surveys to get routed to the customer service team as soon as they are completed. Further, by integrating analytics, the survey module can track customer satisfaction data, helping Cree LED continuously improve operations. The automated module also reduces administrative workload, eliminating inefficiencies in document handling and customer engagement.
