Old-style streetlights in Meadville (Pennsylvania) now glow with energy-saving LEDs

Ornamental streetlights still cast a warm glow in Meadville. But the cost of that light is a bit lower these days thanks to the conversion to LED of 258 lighting fixtures around city-owned parks and parking lots and key streets.

Partial funding for the $55,000 project came from a $17,500 grant from the Penelec Sustainable Energy Fund of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, awarded in 2019.
