Weinman Stadium gets new lighting

The Purple Hurricanes hopefully will be playing football in Weinman Stadium in Cartersville (Georgia) under all new Friday Night Lights this fall.
 
At the Cartersville City School Board meeting Monday night, Finance Committee Chairman Tim Chason will recommend approving a lighting proposal for the high school stadium from sole-source vendor Musco Lighting for $275,000, to be paid from Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax funds.
 
The plan is not only to repair some of the lighting at the stadium, but it’s also to improve the lighting at the stadium as well.
