City considers $2.8 mil LED lighting upgrade

The Wichita Falls City Council will consider a resolution Tuesday to contract with Ameresco to provide services for a light-emitting diode (LED) system upgrade to more than 5,000 roadway lights in the city. The city of Wichita Falls has been working with Ameresco for an investment-grade audit of the city’s street lighting system. At least 2,490 roadway lighting fixtures have already been outfitted with LED systems.
