Taiwan LED firms eye US, Europe auto lighting markets

LED automotive lighting products from Edison Opto, Excellence Optoelectronics and Everlight Electronics have entered the supply chains of US- and Europe-based automakers, as these Taiwan-based makers seek to avoid price competition in China with local suppliers. While China has become the globally largest market of new cars, the country's Hongli Zhihui, Shenzhen Refound Optoelectronics, Foshan Nationstar Optoelectronics and Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems have grown fast in their domestic LED automotive lighting market.
