New lamp law bans decorative lights on cars

Motorists often see cars with multi-color lights on the road. After July 1, those decorative lights will be illegal in Indiana. Lights that can be seen from the front of the vehicle must be white or amber in color. Tail lights and brakes on the rear of the vehicle must be red and reverse lights can be white or amber. Sgt. Todd Ringle of Indiana State Police says this law is an effort to create uniformity on the roads and enhance safety.
