Orion LEDs To Slash Lighting Energy Usage by 50%
Orion Energy Systems says that the company has been awarded a $3.6 million project to install LED lighting systems in two US government facilities. Once the lighting retrofits are completed, the federal customers expect to cut their annual energy usage for lighting by approximately 50% per facility. Although the enterprise-grade LED lighting and energy project solutions company did not specify which two US government facilities will be retrofitted, Orion did say they are replacing legacy T5, T8, compact fluorescent and HID lighting systems with energy-efficient LED lighting platforms and controls.
