Vandalia continues conversion to LED lighting
The City of Vandalia will continue replacing the city’s lighting with LED after the city council approved an agreement with Engergy Optimizers USA for the replacement of indoor, outdoor, and out-building lighting at the Vandalia Recreation Center. This follows the recent upgrades at the Municipal Building and Fire Station #2. The cost of the upgrades is $151,135 which is nearly $7,000 below the budgeted amount. The city will make the purchase through the Ohio Council on Educational Purchasing Consortia. The agreement includes a 10-year warranty on materials and a 1-year labor warranty. The upgrade also qualifies the city for $9,102 in rebates from DP&L. (Photo: Nyttend).
